wanting critiques? alright. ummm.... The subject itself is very strong... thinking maybe a different/more clean cut backdrop would work better. your current one suggests a texture, but is too out of focus to do so effectively. I would also consider re-building the wings in a similar style, as opposed to using pre-cast forms. This isn't really an issue, but it might flow better, or something... a harder light might also benefit this piece, adding a greater degree of contrast and sharpness to it, but i'm not sure, as i also like it the way it is.

my mind is frustrated that its focus is limited to a pre-set area, but i'm not sure how much you can do about that... i do find that this sort of focus effect, if intentional, works better on subjects of a repetitive texture, such as leaves or a slab of solid material. In your piece, i almost think that the loss of focus takes away from the image, and i find myself wanting a sharper edge on the shadows, and the freedom to examine every inch of the collaboration without the hindrance of faulty vision. but that's just me.

this piece however needs a simple background, my 1st thought was to put it on a wide black belt, but if u only want to work with jewelry the same idea would work with a wide black bracelet.
